Intentionally-crafted botanical skincare.
A SENSORY EXPERIENCE FOR OUR BODIES AND OUR SPIRITS
The magic of our products lies in their ability to invite presence through the sensory experience of texture, aroma, and energetics. Each application acts as a guide to call our attention back to ourselves so that we may more tenderly care for our bodies and our spirits.
Our family-run company is founded on the principles of environmental responsibility, ethical ingredient sourcing, using only pure and effective botanical ingredients, and supporting a new vision for modern beauty that honors our interconnectedness with nature.
About our founder
I began studying and working with herbal medicine in my early 20’s to heal myself after navigating a chronic illness that allopathic medicine struggled to treat. What I learned through that experience was that we are made of the earth and the elements, and that the natural world has astounding healing potential.
After nearly a decade of training and apprenticeship, I was inspired to create Communion Botanicals as a way to commune with the plant world in everyday ways; to infuse daily rituals with the medicine of plants. We are all interwoven with the natural world, our survival and emotional well-being depend on it, and yet many of us are moving through our modern lives with a pervasive sense of disconnect. Being in nature is the ultimate healing practice, and yet we aren’t always able to spend time outdoors. My wish is that you may experience the vitality and harmonizing energy of the plant world each day by anointing your face and body with our intentionally-made botanical products.
We create products that both honor our relationship to the earth, by using environmentally responsible practices, and harness the living energy of plant medicine–the ‘life force’ or ‘prana’.
I started the very first collection for what would become Communion Botanicals in my home kitchen. Now, many years later, our small family team produces every product from scratch in our artisanal production studio in beautiful Nelson, BC.
Thank you for being here.
